#75 - BACK TO BASICS: 5 Tips to Get Your Shit Together

Summary

Alright friends, #realtalk, for all my talk of discipline and systems, I have not been very disciplined lately. Yeah, you could look at my Instagram stories lately and say, "But Ellyn, you still get your workout in every day" and yea that's true. But beyond that and the day job, I haven't been on top of my s***. Things have been falling through the cracks left, right and center. And that's not like me. I haven't been working on my personal projects, let alone moving the needle. I have been the queen of SNOOZE! And my TV watching has been next level...I'll admit it!

It happens! Discipline, like anything else, is a practice! It's not something you have or you don't. it's something you maintain. And I hadn't been maintaining mine. It's happened before. And it will no doubt happen again. But what do we do when we want to get back on track after we've fallen out of it? Well, I've got 5 tips that have worked REALLY well for me before that I'm going to get back to ASAP!

  • Veto the SNOOZE Button - And this is a topic that I could totes do a full podcast on later, so let me know!

  • Time Block EVERYTHING - Not to lock you into a schedule, but to provide tangible proof of your priorities and the things you're committing to!

  • Set Better Boundaries - Particularly between your work and person life!

  • Prioritize ME time - Because burn out is REAL friends and you're going to want and need time to recharge!

  • Keep it SIMPLE AF - With everything and anything, until you can show up and do something in it's simplest form, don't overcomplicate it!
